ANDREW EDGLEY

Andrew has been a Systems Analyst and programmer for more than 25 years. His introduction to producing commercial software packages was when, in 1980, as a partner in a small software company, he helped to write and support a Veterinary Practice management system. This program suite was used to manage more than 120 veterinary practices throughout Australia and New Zealand and was the forerunner of its kind in Australia.

In 1988, in collaboration with Mike Ralston, Andrew designed and produced the original MediPATH program suite and has been intimately involved with the constant development of that and many ancillary products ever since.

Andrew enjoys analysing and solving difficult management and programming issues. In the last 10 years he has turned these skills towards products such as the SeqHepB web site which provides automated genetic analysis for drug resistance in Hepatitis B cases and Australian Crest which performs a similar task for the HIV genome.

As C.E.O. of LRS Health, Andrew manages an expert team of core programmers and support personnel. His belief is that the success and longevity of the MediPATH group of products has been a result of good service and direct communication with all clients.
