MIKE RALSTON FIBMS, FAIMS, FRCPA(Hon)

With over 40 years experience in Pathology, in three countries, Mike has a wealth of knowledge and insight into both the practice and management of pathology.

In addition to many years in the public sector, for over 15 years he was the co-owner and Managing Director of a highly successful private pathology practice in regional Victoria.

Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists and in 2003, was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in Australasia.

Mike has been, and continues to be, on many of the committees and organisations whicha are actively involved with the management of pathology nationally - both fiscally and from a quality perspective, including the Pathology Services Table Committee (PSTC), the PCC Statistics Subcommittee and numerous NPAAC subcommittees.

As Industry Advisor to LRS, he has been actively involved in the functional design of LRS pathology associated products for the last 18 years.
