PAUL CARR

Paul manages the Brisbane office of LRS which covers support for sites in Queensland and northern NSW.

Paul graduated from NSW Institute of Technology (NSWIT) as a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biomedical Science) and worked in private pathology laboratories in Newcastle and Townsville for over fourteen years.

Although a Biochemistry major, opportunities for training in Haematology, Biochemistry, Special Chemistry, Microbiology and Immunohaematology provided understanding in all areas of Pathology Practice.

Paul was Head of Biochemistry and Assistant Laboratory Manager at Townsville when the MediPATH system was installed in 1991. From knowledge gained as the System Manager at that site, Paul became a valuable member of the MediPATH Installation team and from 1995 participated in the installation and rollout of MediPATH and MediRAD sites from Melbourne to Cairns.

In 1997, Paul left the laboratory and joined MediSoft as a Systems Analyst/Support specialist and continued this role with LRS when it was formed in 2000.

Paul's major focus has been on the MediPATH and MediRAD products, with senior support roles in installation, interface integration, biochemistry, blood banking, anatomical pathology and laboratory processes.

Paul's experience provides an ability to understand both the request from the laboratory and its idiosyncratic focus and the programming possibilities and solutions that can be offered.
