Designed specifically for use with text based results such as Histology & Radiology reports, GEdit provides the functionality of Windows style Word Processing.

• GEdit will run on any PC
• GEdit is automatically called whenever a Medipath or MediRAD procedure code requires extended word processing for its data

• GEdit has most of the word processing features that MicroSoft Word provides
• The text data from a GEdit session is written into the Medipath layout. The WORD document is also saved in the Medipath database.
• All documents are backed up with the routine Medipath backup process.
  
• The GEdit documents are printed by a Windows' utility that Medipath automatically calls whenever required

• Graphic Images (slides and photos) are handled automatically

• Abbreviations can be included (unlimited lines) and can be edited or added during data entry.

• A spelling checker with Medical terminology is included
• Users can add, delete or edit words in the dictionary during data entry.

PROGRAM OPERATION

• All operations are automatic
• When a GEdit flagged procedure is selected in any Medipath data entry program, the GEdit process is automatically called.
• Previously saved GEdit result pages are displayed in GEdit mode but when scrolling through a patient's history, the result is displayed in the normal character based screen.
