DIRECT PATHOLOGY ORDER ENTRY FROM REMOTE SITES

OrderIT maintains a separate USER plus PASSWORD structure for validation of orders.

The program has a short IDLE TIME delay that returns the user to NAME and PASSWORD if the PC is left idle. This security is additional to the normal logon sequence. The intended sequence of events is:

1. Doctor's PC (or ward terminal) logs onto standard menu with standard password
2. Menu allows Result Enquiry, Email and Order Entry
3. Order entry choice asks for USER NAME and PASSWORD. Access to USERS and failed accesses are recorded.

Orders are marked with the USER NAME, DATE & TIME. (From the initial logon if appropriate).

As long as no delay longer than 60 seconds between entries occurs, multiple orders may entered.

After an older session is complete, or after the time-out period the USER NAME & PASSWORD must be re-entered.
